Be Surrounded by Nature

The grounds at Money Hill are not only the setting of an award-winning golf course and lifestyle community, but are a designated Louisiana nature preservation site. Money Hill is surrounded by more than 3,500 acres of nature preserves and is home to unique species of flora and fauna. Bluebirds, wood ducks and other birds are often spotted at Money Hill, have been studied by national groups and are lovingly maintained by residents, with the guidance of local environmentalists. The Abita Creek Flatwoods Preserve is located about one mile west of Money Hill. The preserve supports a significant tract of intact pine flatwood wetlands in southeast Louisiana. It supports high-quality examples of longleaf pine flatwood savanna, slash pine–pond cypress woodlands and bayhead swamps. Nearly thirty rare plants have been identified in the area, including four species that are only protected here in Louisiana.

Our environmental commitment has created a buffer against future development around Money Hill, and has placed it in an oasis of beauty and ecological wealth. Our core objective is to provide a sustainable future that is valued by all forward-thinking residents of the Northshore and those that live in St. Tammany Parish.

We are growing

In addition, we are always looking to the future. We recently added more than 4,400 acres to our community, totaling more than 5,600-acres that we have big plans for. In the near future, a grocery store and commercial village will increase accessibility to modern conveniences for residents of the area. In the long term, we are planning for parks, more greenspaces, lakes, additional amenities like pickleball courts, a new 18-hole “core-golf”course, a nature outfitter center, more connected walking trails and over 1,700 acres of undeveloped open space, long leaf pine and an oak grove preserve. Our plan for growth is a long-term one, as necessary to build out a sustainable community while staying true to our ideals of natural beauty and conservation.
