When Ron Garl designed Money Hill’s 18-hole, championship course he described it this way, “Mother Nature did the real work here.” Once you have been on the course, you’ll understand why Money Hill changed the way golf is played in Louisiana.

Undulating contours of terrain offer hills and valleys that provide constant elevation changes throughout the course, from tee to green and from hole to hole. Wrapped around our 186-acre, artesian spring-fed lake, the final five holes may be the most memorable as they present a variety of challenging water-features rarely seen in other golf courses.

designed to keep the course challenging for beginners and pros alike.

503 YARDS, PAR 5

PRO TIP: The opening hole is a medium length par 5 that plays slightly downhill. The ideal drive is to the left center of the fairway to set up the best angle to the green. The heavily guarded green requires a great approach to secure a birdie or par.

400 YARDS, PAR 4

PRO TIP: This hole requires an accurate tee shot down the left center of the fairway to set up an approach shot into a narrow but very deep two tier green. The player must also carry a lake and bunker quarding the lower tier of the green. Hit it over the green and your work is only getting started. Take two putts here and consider yourself fortunate.

550 YARDS, PAR 5

PRO TIP: Hit an accurate tee shot to the center of the fairway. Going for this narrow green in two requires a precise shot to clear the huge front bunker and water. The lay-up should be left of the fairway bunkers, but undulations make pitch-shots hard to get close.

198 YARDS, PAR 3

PRO TIP: This picturesque par 3, all over water, is the longest on the course and will challenge the best of players. Deep bunkers surround the green which slopes left to right. The wind swirls here, so check the water for wind direction.

407 YARDS, PAR 4

PRO TIP: On this dog-leg left, a tee shot down the middle leaves a short iron to an elevated green, which makes club selection tricky. The green is protected by bunkers on the right and slopes severely from back to front.

443 YARDS, PAR 4

PRO TIP: This straightaway par 4 is fairly long. The bunkers on the right side come into play off the tee. The second shot is pretty basic with bunkers left and a tree that guards the right side. The kidney shaped green is very large.

413 YARDS, PAR 4

PRO TIP: The correct drive here is to play a right to left shot aimed at the right fairway bunker. The second shot is the most demanding on the course. Be precise, as the green is not very deep from front to back. Tough green to putt.

171 YARDS, PAR 3

PRO TIP: A beautiful par 3 that plays downhill to a large undulating green that slopes hard from right to left. Club selection is very important, as a pot bunker guards the front of the green, and making a par from there is nearly impossible.

437 YARDS, PAR 4

PRO TIP: This hole makes for a fabulous finish to the outward nine. Favor the right center of the fairway off the tee. Play it safe to avoid the Scottish style bunkers on the right side of the green. Take a four and move on.

457 YARDS, PAR 4

PRO TIP: This long downhill par 4 is by far the toughest hole on the course. Avoiding bunkers will leave you a mid-iron to a fairway wood second shot to a well-bunkered green that will test all of your skills. Par here is a great score.

537 YARDS, PAR 5

PRO TIP: Long hitters can hit this par 5 in two, but must clear Dave’s Creek in front of the green. The lay-up is critical to this very demanding green that requires a great approach to have a shot at birdie.

432 YARDS, PAR 4

PRO TIP: A mid-length par 4 plays downhill all the way from tee to green. The green slopes severely from left to right and has lots of slope. The second shot here is hard to get close to the hole.

430 YARDS, PAR 4

PRO TIP: This solid par 4 requires an accurate tee shot to avoid the bunkers guarding the right side of the fairway. The second shot is slightly uphill to a two tiered green. Missing this green makes for tough up and downs.

185 YARDS, PAR 3

PRO TIP: Even though this par 3 plays downhill, it requires great distance control. The kidney shaped green can be tough to hit especially when the hole is in the back right. The wind here is tricky, so check the flag.

419 YARDS, PAR 4

PRO TIP: On this par 4 favor the left center of the fairway as the ball will gently kick to the right. The approach is slightly downhill to a fairly flat green. Be careful because the ball tends to run when it lands on the green.

162 YARDS, PAR 3

PRO TIP: On our signature hole, the view is spectacular. However, trouble awaits in all directions. This very deep green is completely surrounded by water with bunkers left and right. If the wind blows in, club selection is critical. Par is a good score.

547 YARDS, PAR 5

PRO TIP: Position your tee shot just right of fairway bunkers. A precise lay-up to 75 yards to the left center of the fairway will leave you in perfect position for your approach. Going for the green in two requires an accurate shot to a small green.

440 YARDS, PAR 4

PRO TIP: This beautiful finishing hole provides a perfect end to a memorable round of golf. After a demanding tee shot with bunkers left and water right, the approach is slightly uphill to a green well protected by deep bunkers and beautiful Live Oaks.
