18-HOLE CHAMPIONSHIP GOLF COURSE
Once you have been on the course, you’ll understand why Money Hill changed the way golf is played in Louisiana.
Undulating contours of terrain offer hills and valleys that provide constant elevation changes throughout the course, from tee to green and from hole to hole. Wrapped around our 186-acre, artesian spring-fed lake, the final five holes may be the most memorable as they present a variety of challenging water features rarely seen in other golf courses.

Golf Course Tour
designed to keep the course challenging for beginners and pros alike.
411 YARDS, PAR 4
PRO TIP: Donald Ross once said “a course should begin with a gentle handshake”. This gentle, downhill par 4 opens your round at Money Hill and aptly fits that description. A drive placed well in the fairway will offer many options for your approach depending on the hole location. A back left hole location will be the most challenging for the player but an approach to the middle right of the green may feed to this hole location.
398 YARDS, PAR 4
PRO TIP: Continuing the theme established on the first hole, the second has no bunkers to navigate from tee to green. The soft roll short of the green has been placed to create a subtle depth perception challenge so, trust the yardage on your approach. Once on the green, the gentle contours will challenge even the best putter in the group.
524 YARDS, PAR 5
PRO TIP: The first of the par 5’s at Money Hill offers a great chance to snag a birdie. The tee shot should be played up the left center of the fairway offering the best angle to attack the green in two or expose the approach area to lay-up. For the stronger player, the temptation to reach the green in two should be tempered with caution. The green falls slightly away from the player and the lake beyond is very much in play. Distance control will be required to challenge a back left pin.
203 YARDS, PAR 3
PRO TIP: A wonderful par 3 playing over a small lake, the wide approach allows shots to be run up into the green. Once on the dance floor the very subtle contours may make the birdie putt hard to read but, a easy par should be at hand.
410 YARDS, PAR 4
PRO TIP: Turning back uphill, the tee shot on this par 4 should be played up the right center of the fairway for the best angle into the green. Approach shots finding the front bunker will challenge the short game to save par. Short right will be the place to miss this green if your approach isn’t struck with precision.
443 YARDS, PAR 4
PRO TIP: This slight dogleg right to left par 4 requires a decision to be made from the tee as to how aggressive a line you should take. Players choosing to play left of the “coffin” bunker off the tee will be rewarded with the most direct line into the green. Those playing safe will face a more challenging approach. The back right hole locations are accessible when using the contour of the green to funnel the approach to the back right.
531 YARDS, PAR 5
PRO TIP: This new par 5 at Money Hill is not long by modern standards. A premium has been placed on the lay-up for those planing to play this hole as a traditional three shot par 5. The small center-line bunkers lies in wait for those playing too far down the hole on their lay-up. The green is wider than deep with the right half of the green being the most receptive.
171 YARDS, PAR 3
PRO TIP: The second par 3 on the front nine plays slightly downhill and pays homage to the original “Redan” at North Berwick in Scotland. The green slopes from front right to back left with a deep bunker protecting the front left of the green. Use the slope here to help work the ball to the back left hole locations.
429 YARDS, PAR 4
PRO TIP: Wrapping up the outward nine, the tee shots should favor the right center of the fairway which will allow for the best angle into the green on your approach. The two bunkers protecting the left side of the green should be avoided. Ample room right has been provided should your approach miss one of the larger greens on the course. Subtle contours with a slight elevation change on the green create a number of fun yet accessible hole locations.
452 YARDS, PAR 4
PRO TIP: This long downhill par 4 is by far the toughest hole on the course. Avoiding bunkers will leave you a mid-iron to a fairway wood second shot to a well-bunkered green that will test all of your skills. Par here is a great score.
429 YARDS, PAR 5
PRO TIP: Long hitters can hit this par 5 in two. However those being overly aggressive on their second may find Dave’s Creek in front of the green or the small pond right of the green. The lay-up is critical to this very demanding green that requires a great approach to have a shot at birdie.
331 YARDS, PAR 4
PRO TIP: This risk-reward short par 4 presents a myriad of options to the player. Reachable for a few from each tee, the choice is yours but be warned, sometimes the most direct route to the pin may not be the most prudent. Birdies or an elusive Eagle may swing the match however, the dreaded “other” is always lurking.
430 YARDS, PAR 4
PRO TIP: This solid par 4 requires an accurate tee shot to avoid the bunkers guarding the right side of the fairway. The second shot is slightly uphill to a green where the back left hole locations are protected by the deep bunker. Missing this green could make for tough up and downs.
181 YARDS, PAR 3
PRO TIP: Even though this par 3 plays downhill, it requires great distance control. The green is open in front to allow for shots to be run up into the green. The front right hole location will be especially difficult to attack for even the strongest on players. The wind here is tricky, so check the flag.
425 YARDS, PAR 4
PRO TIP: On this par 4 favor the left center of the fairway as the ball will gently kick to the right. The approach is slightly downhill to a subtle green protected on the right by a large bunker. Be careful because the ball tends to run when it lands on the green.
190 YARDS, PAR 3
PRO TIP: The view here is spectacular. However, don’t let the beauty fool you as trouble awaits in all directions. This green is much deeper than it appears from the tee but well struck shots will be rewarded. The front right bunker is not as close to the green as it appears. If the wind blows in, club selection is critical. Par is a good score.
584 YARDS, PAR 5
PRO TIP: The longest hole at Money Hill demands three well played shots. Position your tee shot just right of fairway bunkers. A precise lay-up to 75 yards to the left center of the fairway will leave you in perfect position for your approach. Going for the green in two requires an accurate shot to a small green set slightly on an angle.
460 YARDS, PAR 4
PRO TIP: All great courses have a memorable finishing hole and the “HOME” hole at Money Hill is just that. The green has been pushed back towards the lake and slightly lowered creating a little depth perception challenge. For those fearing the lake, play for a shot that lands just over the bunker and you may be pleasantly surprised to find your shot on or near the green. The subtle contours on this green will present one last conundrum for the day.
